Fine. Be like that, geez. Leave me here to bleed on my own.
[Kon isn't sure whether he is impressed or not. He settles for gently levering himself back onto the bed.] But take your phone with you. Korra's gonna think you don't care.
[He unconsciously hovers until Kon settles, after which a little of the tension disappears from the set of his shoulders. Once he leaves the cup nearby, he sits on the chair he had pulled up the day before, only to jump back up again.
Oohhhhh crap, he sure did forget about Korra. He sheepishly picks up the dropped communicator, but before he'll speak into it again there's one more question he wants to ask Kon. He doesn't need Korra to get suspicious and he really should mollify her worry, but he'll brush her off quickly if Kon needs to keep talking to distract from his condition.]
Yeah, I better get back to her. Anything else to say on the so-called anti-spatula prejudice?
[Kon's eyes are only half-closed, and he still finds the energy to smirk, but from the way the words are rapidly becoming slurred, he is rapidly checking out.]
A ton. I got a whole dissertation for you on it.
[Yeah, he's going to be passed out before you can even say 'Hi Korra.']
[He doesn’t respond, fond amusement briefly overtaking his countenance. There's a relief every time Kon can manage to get rest during this crap Yao Corp is pulling, even if a part of him can't help but wonder if Kon will wake up again.
After Kon falls asleep, he walks over to the other side of the room with his communicator, intending to continue the conversation without disturbing Kon while simultaneously keeping an eye on him. He speaks into it quietly, a sheepish lilt to his voice that isn't a complete act.]
uh...Korra? Are you still there? Sorry about that.
[Korra had heard muffled voices on the other end--one of them sounded sort of familiar, now that she thinks about it--so she'd stuck around for a little while. Just as she's wondering if she should hang up and call him back later, Tim returns.]

Don't be reasonable when I am being a jerk!
[God, Tim. Let Kon drive you away with his insensitive behaviour while also keeping a hold on you with his TTK to make sure that you don't leave!]
Jerk.

How dare you bleed on me because Yao Corp decided to screw with you.
[Have you ever witnessed anyone so deadpan, Kon?]
I am so offended I am going to storm off now.

Oh, yeah. I'm still here. Friend of yours?

[There's a long suffering, if slightly amused sigh. He doesn't actually mind keeping an eye on Kon, even if he can be an exasperating patient.]
Guess who got stuck watching someone who is more of a pain than anything else?
[Sorry not sorry.]

You, I'm guessing. So it is someone you met here in Haven?
