[The whisper-hissing will continue as long as Korra is still on the line. Did you seriously interrupt and possibly alert Korra to Tim knowing Kon just to argue about kitchenware. Really.]
[Not even going to dignify the rest with a response, because wtf. The comment on his appearance earns Kon a bland, unimpressed look. Kon isn't one to talk.
(To be fair, Kon is looking much better now, to his eternal relief.)]
[Sorry, Korra. Kon is going to lean heavily on Tim as he tries to adjust to the swirling room.]
That was not a good plan.
[He is so sick of this -- three days of being entirely dependant on other people for even the most basic of bodily functions and he lets Tim help him back onto the bed without even a token protest.]
[He helps him carefully lower himself on the bed and once Kon is settled and as comfortable as he can be given the situation, Tim murmurs a "Don't try to move again" and leaves. He returns with a glass of water and offers it to Kon, leaving it up to him if he wants Tim to hold it up while he drinks or if he wants to do it himself.]
Hey.
[Even if Kon doesn't voice it, it's clear it bugs him to feel incompetent and dependent.]
[He holds the cup patiently, the familiar tingle of TTK running over his hands. As Kon drinks, Tim tries to ignore how some of the water is beginning to dilute the bloody bandages encircling Kon's neck even though neither of them have spilled a drop.
(It doesn't quite work, and something flickers in his eyes.)
At the mention of bleeding, he automatically glances at all of Kon's bandages and then decides they don't need to be changed for another hour. His eyes move on to his suit. There's blood crusting parts of it, but it isn't like it would be that hard to get out. There's also blood crusted under his fingernails, but that isn't a big deal to get out either.]
It's nothing.
[For the most part it doesn't bother or gross him out when blood gets on him and his clothing, it's part of the job. What bothers him is the fact that it's Kon's blood. He carefully closes that away because Kon doesn't need to see and misinterpret that. What he gets to see is the sincerity, because Tim wants him to feel more comfortable and less ashamed relying on him.]
Fine. Be like that, geez. Leave me here to bleed on my own.
[Kon isn't sure whether he is impressed or not. He settles for gently levering himself back onto the bed.] But take your phone with you. Korra's gonna think you don't care.
[He unconsciously hovers until Kon settles, after which a little of the tension disappears from the set of his shoulders. Once he leaves the cup nearby, he sits on the chair he had pulled up the day before, only to jump back up again.
Oohhhhh crap, he sure did forget about Korra. He sheepishly picks up the dropped communicator, but before he'll speak into it again there's one more question he wants to ask Kon. He doesn't need Korra to get suspicious and he really should mollify her worry, but he'll brush her off quickly if Kon needs to keep talking to distract from his condition.]
Yeah, I better get back to her. Anything else to say on the so-called anti-spatula prejudice?
[Kon's eyes are only half-closed, and he still finds the energy to smirk, but from the way the words are rapidly becoming slurred, he is rapidly checking out.]
A ton. I got a whole dissertation for you on it.
[Yeah, he's going to be passed out before you can even say 'Hi Korra.']
[He doesn’t respond, fond amusement briefly overtaking his countenance. There's a relief every time Kon can manage to get rest during this crap Yao Corp is pulling, even if a part of him can't help but wonder if Kon will wake up again.
After Kon falls asleep, he walks over to the other side of the room with his communicator, intending to continue the conversation without disturbing Kon while simultaneously keeping an eye on him. He speaks into it quietly, a sheepish lilt to his voice that isn't a complete act.]
uh...Korra? Are you still there? Sorry about that.
[Korra had heard muffled voices on the other end--one of them sounded sort of familiar, now that she thinks about it--so she'd stuck around for a little while. Just as she's wondering if she should hang up and call him back later, Tim returns.]
